Painted Reliefs

These painted reliefs are a combination of bas relief sculpture, and oil on panel paintings. The bas reliefs are composed of numerous materials, including wood verneers, polymerized gypsum, vermiculite, crushed stones, aggregates and adhesives.
"The Last Buttonwood", Relief and Oil on Panel, 44" x 66", 2021. This work was made from the bark of the last surviving
pre-Revolutionary War Buttonwood tree originally planted in the mid 1700s at the entrance of the Quaker Meeting House in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
